<li>Eduardo Souto de Moura of Portugal is the winner of the 2011 Pritzker Architectural Prize. “He has the confidence to use stone that is a thousand years old or to take inspiration from a modern detail by Mies van der Rohe,” Edward Keegan says, noting the jury’s selection. Souto de Moura’s work, primarily located in his native country, includes the conversion of the Santa Maria do Bouro Convent (1997) in Amares, Portugal; Braga Stadium (2000-2003) in Braga, Portugal; the Porto Metro (1997-2005); and the Paula Rêgo Museum (2005-2009) in Cascais, Portugal.</li>

<li>Don&#8217;t be afraid to go back and complete or rework those pieces of work that you wished you could have finished in order to present them better and communicate your project intent further</li>
<li>Don&#8217;t throw away something just because a professor doesn&#8217;t like it</li>
<li>Keep design clippings and things you&#8217;re interested in to stay current in the design industry and stay passionate about design in general</li>
